FAQs

Where is the project located?

Waverley One is located at 1201 – 1211 High Street, Wantirna South.

What is the history of the site?

The site was previously known as Jenkins Orchards, and until recently operated as a commercial apple orchard.

What is the vision for the site?

The vision for the Site is to create a community that is vibrant, sustainable, pedestrian-focused and adorned by a generous provision of high-quality open spaces, streetscapes and built forms. Responding to the Site’s history, key attributes, interfaces and location within the Dandenong Creek Valley and surrounding Dandenong Valley Regional Parklands, the development focuses on celebrating the unique landscape character and amenity of the Site. When will the development start?

Waverley One’s Development Plan was approved by Knox City Council in February 2023. We are now working on the submission of the Planning Permit which provides details on the lot-mix and types of homes that will be built. We anticipate an outcome towards the end of 2023, allowing us to commence construction in 2024. If we meet these milestones, we could be welcoming our first residents into the community in 2025.

What type of homes will be built?

The Development Plan allows up to 450 dwellings, which will be a mix of house and land packages and townhouses. These details will be shared once the planning permit is submitted and endorsed.

What amenity will be delivered, as part of the masterplan?

The masterplan includes provision for a neighbourhood centre, including a supermarket and speciality retail stores. There is also a local neighbourhood park running through the spine of the community.

When can I purchase?

Waverley One will launch to the public once the planning permit has been endorsed by Knox City Council, expected in 2024.

How much will homes be?

Once the planning permit has been endorsed, we will share the final masterplan with the public, including the types of homes that will be available. At this point, we will be able to provide pricing and details of how to purchase.

How can I stay updated?
